Chrome extension · Free
Check any page for accessibility issues, right where you are.
A11yRemedy for Chrome runs a WCAG 2.2 check on the page in front of you, including staging sites, localhost, logged-in pages and open menus, and highlights every failing element on the page.
No account needed to check a page. Runs only when you click it.

Why a browser extension
It checks the page you can see, not just the one a server can reach.
Our scheduled scans load public pages from our servers. The extension checks the page exactly as it's rendered in your browser, so it reaches places a scanner can't.
Staging and localhost
Catch issues before they ship, on a dev build or a staging site nobody else can reach.
Signed-in pages
Account areas, dashboards and checkouts, using the session you're already logged in with.
Open menus and dialogs
Open the mega menu, the modal or the cart drawer, then check. It tests the page in its current state.
Any public page
Your site, a client's, a competitor's or a prospect's. Any page Chrome can open.

Permissions and privacy
It only runs when you ask it to.
What it does
- Runs only when you click it, on sites you've allowed
- Checks the page in your browser with axe-core
- Sends results to your account only when you save a check or ask for fix code
What it doesn't do
- Change the site. Highlights disappear when you reload.
- Run in the background or track your browsing
- Act as an overlay. It's a testing tool for you, not a widget for your visitors.

A clean check isn't a clean bill of health
Automated testing finds roughly 30–57% of WCAG issues, in the extension or anywhere else. Zero issues means nothing a machine can detect, not that the page is accessible. For the rest, a person needs to test it. That's what a manual audit is for.
Questions
About the extension
Yes. Checking pages, highlighting issues and the server-side check are free without an account. A free account adds fix code for your top 3 issue groups. Paid plans add fix code for every issue, and Studio and Agency add tickets and prospect checks.
Yes. It checks whatever page is open in your browser, including local builds, staging sites behind a password, and pages you're signed in to.
No. It reads the page and highlights issues in your browser only. Nothing changes on the site, and the highlights clear when you reload.
Scheduled scans check every page of a public site on a schedule and alert you to changes. The extension checks the one page you're looking at, right now, in whatever state it's in. Most teams use both: the extension while building, monitoring after launch.
It's built for Chrome. Most Chromium-based browsers, such as Edge, Brave and Arc, can install extensions from the Chrome Web Store too.
